Hello, hello!!
My name is Dr. Tee and I look forward to helping you through this season of your life. I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in the state of Florida and a Master Resiliency Trainer through the United States Air Force. I am also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family. I have had the privilege of serving as a Lead Teacher for the Youth Rehabilitation Center and a Foster Care Counselor for Youth Villages, working with teens struggling with relationship challenges, depression, self-esteem, and adjustment disorders. I also served as the Casualty Assistance Representative and was blessed to be in a position to show compassion and hold the hands of many families as I led them through the grief and administrative processes when losing a loved one who gave his/her life for their country.
LIFE happens to all of us and there’s no way around it. My passion and purpose is who I am, TEE, to Teach, Equip, and Empower individuals and couples with the innate tools and skills of resiliency to succeed personally, emotionally, and spiritually in overcoming challenges and struggles that LIFE hands us. Whether you are a faith-believer or not, you are welcomed, and I want to help you live a purpose-filled life. I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna Insurances.
I earned my PhD in Christian Leadership from Liberty University, my Master of Science degree from Capella University, and my Bachelor of Arts in Human Development Education from Christian Brothers University. I am passionate in working with individuals, couples, and families on transforming circumstances surrounding the disconnect in communication and behavioral challenges in relationships, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and trauma. I am trained in EMDR through EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) in order to help alleviate the distress of traumatic memories. While I may have professional experiences and expertise, I believe that it is my own personal troubles and trials when I could not trace or track God that I learned to still trust in Him with all my heart and not lean to my own understanding, and I learned to acknowledge Him in all my ways and services.
As a prior Air Force Captain and spouse, I understand the demands of the military, the challenges of balancing family and flag, and the struggles of multiple assignments and transitions. I have a special passion for military members and families. I continue to serve the military men and women at MacDill Air Force Base, training Airmen on Resiliency. I utilize a combination of modalities based on the needs, desires, and goals of each individual client, yet, my primary tools are client-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is the shifting of the Mind based on Romans 12:2, “Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” When I am not serving in the office, I am indulging in self-care, walking my German Shepherd (German Shedder), Max, hanging out with my sorority sisters, traveling, and spending time with my one and only daughter, whom I affectionately call, “SweetPea”.
