Hi there!

My name is Jess, and I’m so happy you’re here! Do you desire a deeper connection with your partner, family, or yourself? I believe that our unique relationships and life experiences have a powerful impact on who we are and how we experience the world. My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental and involves working as a team with my clients to identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and improve their quality of life.

I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in the state of Florida. I earned my B.A. in Sociology from Purdue University with a minor in human development and family studies and my Master of Social Work degree from Walden University with a focus in family and couple practice. I am an approved EMDR therapist in training through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). I have received additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and am a certified SYMBIS facilitator for premarital/marital counseling.

I seek to create a warm, safe, and empathetic environment that facilitates understanding and healing. I work with individual adults and adolescents, as well as families and couples who are experiencing issues related to anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relational distress, and adjustment to life changes. I value the unique identity, cultural, and religious aspects of my client’s lives and use an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities to ensure treatment is individualized. My approach is informed by Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution-Focused, Strength-Based, Family Systems, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. It is a supreme joy to be able to incorporate Christian faith and spirituality into the healing process for those who desire it. Whether you are a strong believer, have experienced religious trauma, or are experiencing doubt, questioning, or exploration of faith, you are welcome here!

I relocated to Tampa from the Midwest in 2019 and have created a home here with my husband and family. In my downtime, I enjoy taking walks, cycling, doing yoga, going to theme parks, and singing in the praise and worship band at my church! I look forward to connecting with you and hearing your story.
